The Canadian Air and Space Museum was evicted from Downsview Park in 2011 and was struggling with the expense of storing their huge collection of Canadian aviation history at Pearson International. Milan Kroupa, owner of the Edenvale Aerodrome heard of the troubles experienced by the museum. Milan’s avid interest in aviation and his love of Canadian history, connected with aviation lawyer Ian McDougall to talk about rescuing the collection.
Milan and his Edenvale Aerodrome are now the custodians of the entire collection of what is now known as The Canadian Air and Space Conservancy, including the full-size replica of the Avro Arrow 203. The collection is now safely stored, protected from the elements in a large hangar at the Aerodrome. Milan told THE BEACH BOOSTER of some very exciting plans for a new facility to house and display the collection, possibly as soon as late 2021. This new museum recognizing and displaying Canada’s aviation and space history will be an international draw and certainly something to make all Canadians proud.
I would like to visit your ariport and see the collection Could some one advise when this may be possible
